Just load the camera with your film, download or update the Impossible Project App and you’re ready to go!

The Instant Lab Universal is designed to work with the latest high-definition smartphones and tablets on the market today using the updated Impossible Project App, available free for iOS and now Android. The App guides you through the process of using the Instant Lab Universal step-by-step. Crop and edit your image in advance and set exposure times according to your film of choice. When you’re ready, place your device on the new cradle, expose your image to the film, eject the photo and then watch it develop in the palm of your hand.

If you want to share your analog creations online, the App also features a scanner so you can transfer the moment back onto any device with ease.

Once your photo has fully developed, there’s lots of techniques and tricks for you to explore. Before you eject your photo, you can expose your image as many times as you want to create beautiful dream-like images. You can even transfer the ejected photo’s emulsion layer onto another surface or create wall-sized collages. The choice is yours, the only limit is your imagination!
